Performance, positivity and safeguarding

The Chichester Triathlon Club leadership team all volunteer their time and energy to make the club a safe and inclusive place to socialise, train and race.

Our committee meet on a monthly basis with the AGM held in Jan/Feb each year. We encourage members to participate in helping the club thrive either in formal positions or supporting the club with contributions to running the club to help ensure Chichester Triathlon Club can continue to serve our local community.

Kevin Downey
Chairperson

Became Chichester Triathlon Club Chair in January 2023 having been Membership Officer previously. L1 coach supporting our Youth age group and part of our Bike Squad coaching team. Passionate about giving back to Chichester Triathlon Club the positivity and well-being gained from several years as a member and coach.

Neil Bradfield
Secretary

Became Chichester Triathlon Club Secretary in January 2023 having held various committee positions along with years as a dedicated lead coach for Juniors and Adult members. A L2 coach specialising in Swim training while also supporting bike sessions as part of our Bike Squad.

Vanessa Robinson
Treasurer

Became Chichester Triathlon Club Treasurer in January 2024 having completed her first middle distance the previous year. Inspirational athlete and passionate supporter of the club and its values of inclusivity.

Kerry Newman
Membership Officer

Membership Officer of Chichester Triathlon Club since January 2023 having completed her first middle difference a few months previous. Part of the ‘Newman’ family who have contributed to the club through competing, coaching and supporting for many years.

Andrew George
Head Swim Coach

A L2 qualified BTF coach and Swim Coach Lead, Andy has dedicated many years supporting the committee and athletes alike while competing at every distance through to Ironman.

Shaun Dowling
Head Bike Coach

Shaun is one of our most experienced coaches qualified at BTF L3, and currently a Lead ride coach with the club. Shaun is also a well-respected mentor and one to one coach, successfully guiding athletes to their training goals whatever the distance.

Ben Newman
Head Run Coach

L2 BTF qualified, Ben has supported the club in a number of roles, currently as our Lead run coach, and Junior/Youth coach. The ‘Newman’ family have competed in numerous events over the years he also supporting athletes of all ages.

Adam McCulloch
Head Youth Coach

Head Youth Coach and BTF L2 qualified, Adam has dedicated years to training and supporting CTC athletes of all age groups, currently heading up our Youth and one of the lead riders in our bike squad.

Nicky McCulloch
Head Junior Coach

Head Junior coach and BTF L2 qualified, Nicky has dedicated many years to the coaching and wellbeing of our junior athletes as well as competing at every level through to Ironman.

Andy Smithers
Events Organiser

Youth Coach and adult swim coach, Andy also drives our social gatherings at CTC. You will also find him supporting and occasionally leading our group rides on a Sunday.
